One of the coolest RC toys to play with are the RC tanks.  Unlike cars and trucks RC tanks are great for kids with lots of imagination.  Kids who really like to play with their toys get a lot out of setting up scenarios and scenery for their tanks when they take them out to play.  It is really a lot of fun if they have a friend who also has a tank they can do battle with.

Some of the RC tanks shoot airsoft BB’s and have realistic engine sounds when they are turned on.  I put together a couple of videos so you can see some of these tanks inaction.  Whether you choose a USM1A2 Abrams tank or a GermanTiger tank for your kids, you know they are going to have loads of fun while exercising their minds also.

The beginnings of armored personnel carriers and tanks began with WWI but motor technology at the time prevented the building of the huge and heavy tanks we began seeing in WWII. When the Germans introduced some of the meanest tanks the world had ever seen at the beginning of WWII it was obvious that warfare would forever change.  The new tanks were heavily armored and incredibly fast for their size and weight. The new challenge would be supplying enough diesel fuel to feed these hungry monsters.

Tanks today deal with specialized anti-tank weapons which surprisingly makes their armor lighter. The lighter armor and increased horsepower makes the tanks of today some of the fiercest fighting machines ever built. The M1A2 is said to be capable of firing 6 rounds that all reach the intended target at the same time.  I wouldn’t want to be on the wrong side of that machine.  No matter how anti-war you are there is no denying that tanks will forever live in infamy as on of the most amazing machines humans have ever built.  Buy 2 remote control tanks for realistic battle reenactments.
