Katy Perry is an amazing artist! Her first c.d. “One Of The Boys” is one of my favorites. The thing that I love the most is her complete originality. I do not think I will ever hear another song about kissing girls, well, not one by a girl anyway. “I Kissed A Girl” is not only original but it is also fun. I love to dance and goof around while listening to it. Plus it is fun to sing to.
Although “I Kissed A Girl” is an awesome up beat song, I like Katy Perry’s song “Hot N’ Cold” ever better. It is also up beat, with fun surprising lyrics, but it has great meaning. It is about guys changing the mind, “like a girl changes clothes.”
Another fun, yet original song is “Waking Up In Vegas”. I can’t believe she made a song for those memories that we will all have, or have had, in Vegas. I think that is very bold of her. Lyrics like “I lost my fake I.D., but you lost the motel key” are perfect for a Las Vegas vacation. But you know what they say “What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas.”.
Katy Perry can also sing songs other than fun, up beat songs. She proved that in “Thinking Of You”. This is a sweet romantic song. It is good when you are with the wrong guy. The lyrics are perfect when you are feeling down.
Over all, Katy Perry is just an awesome artist. I hope she goes on to make plenty of more music. But what I am looking forward most is when she does a duet with her boyfriend, Travis McCoy, from Gym Class Heroes. That would be a really cool song. Who am I kidding? Anything Katy Perry does will be good.
