"Then the sons are exempt," Jesus said to him. "But so that we may not
offend them, go to the lake and throw out your line. Take the first
fish you catch; open its mouth and you will find a four_drachma coin.
Take it and give it to them for my tax and yours." - Matthew 17:27 (NIV)
Jesus paid the taxes of him and Peter with a coin in a fish's mouth.
How many of us actually expect God to do this for us?
When we ask Him to meet our financial needs, we expect someone to come
to the door with a check for us. Maybe we expect money to come in the
mail. We expect God to meet our need in a natural way.
According to the Bible, though, Jesus didn't do things naturally. No,
He took water and turned it into wine. He took mud and put on a blind
man's eyes. He walked on the water.
If Jesus didn't do things naturally in the Bible, what makes us think He will always do things naturally now?
Expect God to do the unexpected in your life today!
