Submitting your site to directories is important. You get to have free
links all over the internet pointing to your site and all you have to do is
take five minutes to submit. It is most important to submit in the right
category for example I have a site that has photography on it. I would put that
under art and in the sub-category photography. Submitting to the right category
is important because some directories won’t accept sites that are put into top
level categories. It shows the owner that you don’t care enough to take the
time to submit to the correct category.
It is not good for the directory to have a bunch of site on the front
but none in the inside pages.
Art is defined as the creation of beautiful things. The ARTS category has
many different types of art such as entertainment, comics, antiques, animation,
and forty five other types of art sub-categories. That makes forty nine different types of
beautiful art. So if you are a surfing the net looking for a specific type of
art, look under art at a directory. Here is another reason why you should
submit your site in the right category. If someone is looking for photography
and I didn’t submit my photography site in the right place then how will the
net surfer know where to find my site? They won’t even see it.
The more you submit
your site to directories the better your site will rank in search engines and
the higher your page rank will be. Just make sure it is in the right category
or submitting would just be a waste of time.
