It appears the Shaun Alexander era is finally finished in Seattle as they have signed free agent Julius Jones away from the Cowboys.  There is talk Alexander will be released which makes sense as the Seahawks have Maurice Morris who performed well and have also picked up T.J. Duckett off of free agency as well as Julius Jones.  Besides Alexander the Seahawks should have the rest of the remaining cast returning.  I expect some snags with these new runners, but I see Jones starting and Morris getting a lot of carries as it is so popular now to do in the NFL.  I expect this team to be somewhat mediocre next season as no one really impresses me on this team, however if their division continues last year's trend of being the worst in the NFL (combined record of 16-32 not counting the Seahawks last season) the Seahawks are definitely the favorite of the group to make the playoffs.

The Seahawks will be drafting with the #25 slot in this season's NFL Draft.  I'm predicting the Seahawks upgrade at the tight end position as long as Fred Davis out of USC is still available at this point in the draft.  He is the best tight end of this draft and should help the Seahawks a ton in the passing game as the tight end position is so vital in Holmgren's offense.  Davis can start right away as Pollard might not be returning, and had a terrible year even if he does return.

Fantasy Top 5
1.  Matt Hasselbeck QB-  I don't think Hasselback is this good, however he is the only sure bet fantasy-wise on this team.  He should be good for around 30 touchdowns and while might not be the best QB out there, he's definitely a fantasy starter.
2.  Julius Jones RB-  I believe Jones has a great first year in Seattle eager to show his talent.  He also won't have a talent like Barber on his heels so I expect more than his meager 588 yards and 2 touchdowns which he scored last season.  I am worried as Jones does seem to have a problem getting into the end zone, that Maurice Morris might vulture some touchdowns from him but we'll have to see.
3.  Bobby Engram WR-  This team really has no #1 receiver, however Engram's 94 receptions, 1147 yards and 6 touchdowns definitely put him in the front of the pack from a fantasy perspective.  Engram is getting old and won't have the same circumstances as last year but he is the safest choice of the Seahawks mediocre band of receivers.
4.  Maurice Morris RB-  Maurice Morris seemed to flourish when Alexander was out with injury last season as he averaged a whole yard higher than Alexander per carry.  Morris had 5 total touchdowns and is a versatile back.  If Jones starts slow I would not be surprised to see Morris challenging for the starting job.
5.  Nate Burleson WR-  Burleson led the team with 9 touchdowns despite him not even being a starter when the season began.  With Branch and Hackett continuing to have issues for this upcoming season Burleson might be a nice late round sleeper.
