Well the Joe Gibbs era is officially over, again. I do have to give the Skins a ton of credit for rebounding the way they did after the death of Sean Taylor. I thought the team was going to fold as they weren't that great with him, and after that heart breaking loss in Buffalo (the 2 time outs in a row penalty on Joe Gibbs game), I thought they were finished. Ironically, after that loss though, the team came together to win their last 4 games and they entered into the playoffs with as much momentum as you possibly could only to falter to Seattle. It was still a very admirable ending to a tragic season though. Unfortunately with Gibbs retiring, I think this team with have some trouble repeating last years success. With Gibbs gone in comes new coach Jim Zorn, a former offensive coordinator under Mike Holmgren. With Zorn coming in also comes in the west coast offense which will be very strange for me to see in Washington. I wish I could be more optimistic but I don't see a very exciting year in coming for Redskins fans as I think there will be a lot of growing pains with this new coach.
The Skins will be drafting with the #21 pick of the NFL Draft. The draft experts are looking at the skins shoring up their defensive line with defensive end Calais Campbell out of Miami. Campbell and Andre Carter would create a formidable pass rush and this Skins defense would continue to be the strength of this team as I think the offense struggles next season adjusting to all the new changes.

Fantasy Top 5
1. Clinton Portis RB- Portis is coming into his 8th year in the NFL but is still running hard and should still be this teams #1 fantasy performer. Last year, despite a slow start, he eclipsed 1200 yards rushing and scored 11 touchdowns. I'm a little worried about the new offense so I wouldn't over pay for Portis but if he's there at the right slot I'd pick him up.
2. Chris Cooley TE- Cooley is definitely a starting tight end in fantasy leagues (66-786, 8 TD's). Besides Portis, Cooley outscored everyone else on his team on the field and very likely on your fantasy field as well depending on your scoring system. Again I'm not crazy about the new offense but Cooley should still get a ton of receptions and a lion share of the receiving touchdowns.
3. Santana Moss WR- Moss was a big disappointment last season as injuries plagued him all year. Moss waslucky to score the meager 3 touchdowns he did. Next year it sounds like the new offense will give Moss a huge opportunity to score but its hard to predict how successful they will be. Moss should be around later in the draft so look at him as a late value pick. He has the potential to be a starting fantasy wideout if he regains some of his former glory.
4. Jason Campbell QB- He is still the starter despite Todd Collins showing some nice play coming in for the injured Campbell. In fact, many attribute the Redskins win streak to Collins as his regular season QB rating blew Campbell's out of the water (106.4 to 77.6). Campbell is a risk but should have a better year next season providing he picks up the offense somewhat fast.
5. Washington Redskins Defense- This unit has lost its best playmaker, Sean Taylor, but I still believe this unit will be the strength of the Redskins. They'll keep them in games and be a potential fantasy start depending on the match up.
