The Kansas City Chiefs had a strange year last year.  The always great running team all of a sudden could not run anymore and everything else cascaded downwards starting from that.  I think Herm Edwards is a good coach although too conservative.  The Chiefs have added Chan Gailey to help rebuild this once powerful running attack that fell to last in the NFL last year.  Gailey has history in Pittsburgh and Dallas and was recently at Georgia Tech.  I don't like him as a head coach but I think he can be very effective as a coordinator so we should see an improvement with Larry Johnson and this struggling running game.

Fantasy Top 5
1.  Larry Johnson RB-  Still has to rank high on your short list of top tier running backs.  Last year I think was an aberation
2.  Tony Gonzalez TE-  His value is diminished now that Brodie Croyle is behind center and as he gains in age but he's still good for some fantasy value next year.
3.  Kolby Smith RB-  I believe we'll see a lot of this youngster under the new Chan Gailey regime.  I wouldn't take him too high but maybe handcuff him with LJ if you can.
4.  Dwayne Bowe WR-  This receiver from LSU was one of the only bright spots last year but was very inconsistent week to week.  Hopefully he improves on that and can become a viable fantasy starter.
5.  Brodie Croyle QB-  Should be available very late in the draft and who knows, he could be the next Derek Anderson.  I doubt it but maybe.

2008 NFL Draft Picks:

1. DT Glenn Dorsey LSU

2. G Brandon Albert Virginia (via trade with Lions)

3. CB Brandon Flowers Virginia Tech

4. RB Jamaal Charles Texas

5. TE Brad Cottam Tennessee

6. RB DaJuan Morgan North Carolina

7. WR William Franklin Missouri

8. CB Brandon Carr Grand Valley State

9. OT Barry Richardson Clemson

10. WR Kevin Robinson Utah State

11. DE Brian Johnston Gardner-Webb

12 TE Mike Merritt Central Florida
